亞克力性能
透明度優(yōu)良，有突出的耐老化性； 它的比重不到普通玻璃的一半，抗碎裂能力卻高出幾倍；它有良好的絕緣性和機械強度；對酸、堿、鹽有較強的耐腐蝕性能；且又易加工；可進行粘接、鋸、刨、鉆、刻、磨、絲網(wǎng)印刷、噴 PMMA
砂等手工和機械加工，加熱后可彎曲壓模成各種壓克力制品。
物理性能
聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯 （Polymethylmethacrylate，簡稱PMMA，英文Acrylic），又稱做壓克力或有機玻璃，在香港多稱做阿加力膠，它的鑄板聚合物的數(shù)均分子量一般為2.2×104，相對密度為1.19～1.20，折射率為1.482～1.521，吸濕度在0.5%以下，玻璃化溫度為105℃。具有高透明度，低價格，易于機械加工等優(yōu)點，是平常經(jīng)常使用的玻璃替代材料。 設(shè)計新穎、工藝先進、色調(diào)高雅、造型美觀。 1.PMMA的重量輕，密度比玻璃低：PMMA的密度大約在1150-1190 kg/m3，是玻璃（2400-2800 kg/m3）的一半。同樣大小的材料，其重量只有普通玻璃的一半，金屬鋁（屬于輕金屬）的43%。 2.PMMA的機械強度較高：有機玻璃的相對分子質(zhì)量大約為200萬，是長鏈的高分子化合物，而且形成分子的鏈很柔軟，因此，有機玻璃的強度比較高，抗拉伸和抗沖擊的能力比普通玻璃高7～18倍?？估瓘姸葹?～7千克力/毫米2，耐壓強度為12～14千克力/毫米2，耐沖擊性比聚苯乙烯好；它還有不易破碎的特點。有一種經(jīng)過加熱和拉伸處理過的有機玻璃，其中的分子鏈段排列得非常有次序，使材料的韌性有顯著提高，用釘子釘進這種有機玻璃，即使釘子穿透了，有機玻璃上也不產(chǎn)生裂紋，這種有機玻璃被擊穿后同樣不會破成碎片。因此，拉伸處理后的有機玻璃可用作防彈玻璃，也用作軍用飛機上的座艙蓋。
