In this paper, the effect of hardenability of 50CrVA steel, critical thickness of oil quenching, critical coarsening temperature of Austenitic grain, and the effect of quenching and tempering temperature on material microstrueture and mechanical properties are studied, and the material application specification and leaf spring products optimization process specification are established and verified. Experimental results indicate that the fatigue life and reliability of leaf spring are improved greatly after process optimization is made to 50CrVA steel, and bench fatigue life is up to more than 100,000 times.
