建筑伸縮縫即伸縮縫,是指為防止建筑物構(gòu)件由于氣候溫度變化(熱脹、冷縮),使結(jié)構(gòu)產(chǎn)生裂縫或破壞而沿建筑物或者構(gòu)筑物施工縫方向的適當(dāng)部位設(shè)置的一條構(gòu)造縫。伸縮縫是將基礎(chǔ)以上的建筑構(gòu)件如墻體、樓板、屋頂(木屋頂除外)等分成兩個獨立部分,使建筑物或構(gòu)筑物沿長方向可做水平伸縮。
