橡膠墊塊按結(jié)構(gòu)分為兩種，第一種由多層橡膠片粘合壓制硫化而成。

第二種由多層橡膠片和加勁鋼板粘合壓制硫化而成（也叫橡膠支座），有足夠的豎向剛度以承壓垂直荷載，能將上部構(gòu)造的反力可靠地傳遞給墩臺，有良好的彈性，以適應(yīng)梁端的轉(zhuǎn)動；又有較大的剪切變形以滿足上部構(gòu)造的水平位移。
