鋼邊止水帶是以可伸縮的橡膠和鍍鋅鋼帶所組成的復合件。鋼邊止水帶主要靠中間的橡膠段在混凝土變形縫間被壓縮或拉伸,而起到密封止水作用。一般來說,混凝土和橡膠的粘附力較差,在常規(guī)施工中,又因橡膠是柔軟彈性體,使混凝土在澆筑時不易被掏實,故在混凝土接縫膨脹,扯離、扭轉時會經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)橡膠止水帶松動和脫落,以致在水頭壓力較高情況下會產(chǎn)生滲漏現(xiàn)象。

對于變形縫大的接縫來說,總是就更為突出。采用鍍鋅鋼帶橡膠組合式止水帶,基本上可以克服純橡膠橋式止水帶的這些不足。而且這種組合式止水帶還具有雙重功能:即一方面可以延長途徑,延緩滲水速度,另一方面鍍鋅鋼帶和混凝土有著良好的粘附性,使止水帶能承受較大的拉力和扭力,從而保證橡膠止水帶的混凝土中的有效變形范圍內(nèi)不會產(chǎn)生松動和脫落現(xiàn)象,提高止水效果。斷面采用非等厚結構,分強力區(qū)和防水區(qū),使各部分受力均勻,合理。伸縮孔久壁為平面,施工時板模夾制接觸面大,不易脫位;鋼板增設安裝孔與鋼筋相連接,固定牢靠不易位移。鍍鋅鋼板與混凝土的良好粘接,使防水性能更佳。
