本例根據(jù)原水水質(zhì)條件、鍋爐汽水系統(tǒng)對補給水的水質(zhì)要求，鍋爐補給水處理系統(tǒng)流程為：原水→原水箱→原水泵→熱交換器→多介質(zhì)過濾器→活性炭過濾器→反滲透預脫鹽系統(tǒng)→中間水箱→中間水泵→混和離子交換床→除鹽水箱→除鹽水泵→主廠房。另外包括過濾器反洗系統(tǒng)、混合離子交換床再生系統(tǒng)、加藥系統(tǒng)等。
原水箱用于貯存進入本系統(tǒng)的原水，其目的是為了調(diào)節(jié)進水流量的變化，防止進水波動影響到系統(tǒng)運行，保證系統(tǒng)的進水量及進水水質(zhì)的穩(wěn)定。
原水泵是為預處理系統(tǒng)提供充足的原水流量和壓力。
熱交換器的作用是使進水維持在一定的溫度范圍之內(nèi)，以利于保證反滲透系統(tǒng)出力的穩(wěn)定。
多介質(zhì)過濾器的作用是濾除原水帶來的細小顆粒、懸浮物、膠體，有機物等雜質(zhì)，以及經(jīng)加藥后形成的礬花，從而保證其出水SDI（污染指數(shù)）≤4。
活性炭過濾器的作用是去除水中低分子有機物，游離氯，也能較少水中異味，色度和嗅味。
反滲透預脫鹽系統(tǒng)利用反滲透膜的特性來除去水中絕大部分可溶性鹽分，膠體，有機物及微生物。
中間水箱使反滲透產(chǎn)水側(cè)承受較低的壓力，避免反滲透膜受到背壓而導致不可恢復的損壞，同時緩沖由于后級離子交換系統(tǒng)閥門切換時造成的壓力波動，并可通過中間水箱的液位控制反滲透的啟、停運行。
中間水泵的作用是為后續(xù)水處理系統(tǒng)提供穩(wěn)定的壓力和水量。
混和離子交換床的作用是將反滲透產(chǎn)水中留存的離子進一步去除。
除鹽水箱用于貯存本系統(tǒng)的產(chǎn)水，其目的是為了保證鍋爐供水水量的穩(wěn)定。
除鹽水泵的作用是為鍋爐系統(tǒng)提供穩(wěn)定的壓力和水量。
