將485A的DB-9孔頭直接插到標準RS-232針座上，看接線端子上的LED燈是否亮即可判斷RS-232口是否有信號。由于485A從RS-232口的信號上竊電，所以RS-232有信號則LED燈就亮。這樣同時也可以判斷485A基本上是好的，因為至少485A的竊電電路部分是工作正常的。
