A4 provides a secure network by utilizing its authentication and security functions, which can be applied at the port level or user level. Using the policy manager or standard cli of Jijin network management suite, the role-based architecture of Jijin network enables network administrators to define different roles or profiles representing operating groups within the enterprise (e.g., employees, executives, visitors, etc.). Up to two devices per port (one PC and one VLA tag phone) can be authenticated through IEEE 802.1x, MAC address or web-based authentication, and then assigned a predefined operation role.
