SCR是在催化劑的作用下，噴入還原劑氨或尿素，把尾氣中的NOx還原成N2和H2O，從而達(dá)到既節(jié)能、又減排的目的。
SCR技術(shù)結(jié)構(gòu)也比較簡單，只要在發(fā)動機(jī)
的基礎(chǔ)上建立，增加一套尿素還原劑的系統(tǒng)，再定期添加尿素水溶液就行。這一技術(shù)不僅可以改善車輛燃油經(jīng)濟(jì)性，還有利于其延長保養(yǎng)周期。
上圖中便是SCR系統(tǒng)流程圖，尾氣從渦輪出來后進(jìn)入排氣混和管，在混和管上安裝有尿素計量噴射裝置，噴入尿素水溶液，尿素在高溫下發(fā)生水解和熱解反應(yīng)后生成NH3，在SCR系統(tǒng)催化劑表面利用NH3還原NOX，排出N2。
該系統(tǒng)中主要包括尿素泵、尿素噴嘴、尿素罐等，所以平常對于SCR系統(tǒng)的保養(yǎng)也主要集中在這三個方面。
● SCR后處理系統(tǒng)保養(yǎng)小技巧
1、尿素泵的保養(yǎng)
由于車輛停止工作后尿素泵和管路中有殘留液體存在，所以車輛關(guān)閉點火開關(guān)后都需執(zhí)行清空工作防止結(jié)晶或凍結(jié)。
所有的尿素泵都有過濾器或濾芯，技術(shù)要求必須定期清理或更換，否則時間久了會導(dǎo)致堵塞或破損以致失去過濾作用，必然引起系統(tǒng)工作失調(diào)。
2、尿素噴嘴的保養(yǎng)
如果車用尿素溶液質(zhì)量不過關(guān)，那么愛劣質(zhì)車用尿素溶液含有的一些不溶的雜質(zhì)、物質(zhì)，堆積起來就可能會堵塞、破壞尿素噴嘴。
另外導(dǎo)致尿素噴嘴堵塞的原因也可能是車用尿素反應(yīng)殘留一下沉積物導(dǎo)致的，所以我們平時需要保養(yǎng)好尿素噴嘴，經(jīng)常清洗尿素噴嘴，可采用熱水侵泡等辦法。
而且噴油器由304不銹鋼制成，帶有陶瓷內(nèi)核。所以當(dāng)維修噴嘴時應(yīng)小心，不要使它掉落，否則可能損壞陶瓷涂層。
