　　應用場合。要先考慮機器人是用于什么樣的場合以及需要什么樣的制程。若是應用制程需要人工和機器共同完成，尤其是需要經(jīng)常變換工位或移位移線的工作，以及配合新型力矩感應器的場合，協(xié)作型機器人就是一個很好的選擇。

　　有效負載。是指機器人在工作空間內(nèi)可以攜帶的最大負荷。如果機器人完成將目標工件從一個工位搬運到另一個工位，我們就需要注意要將工件的重量以及機器人手爪的重量加總到其工作負荷。特別需要注意的是機器人的負載曲線，在空間范圍的不同距離位置，實際上的負載能力也會存在差異。

　　自由度(軸數(shù))。機器人配置的軸數(shù)直接關系到機器人在活動時的自由度。如果是針對簡單直來直去的場合， 4軸機器人就可以應對。如果應用在一個狹小的工作空間，同時還需要機器人手臂進行很多的扭曲和轉(zhuǎn)動，6軸或7軸機器人就是最好的選擇。

　　最大的作動范圍。當計算機器人的應用場合時，還應該了解機器人需要到達的最大距離。選擇一個機器人不是只看它的有效載荷，也需要綜合考量所能到達的確切距離。借此判斷，該工業(yè)機器人是不是適合特定的應用。在機器人的水平運動范圍內(nèi)，我們還要關注到到機器人近身和后方的非工作區(qū)域。
