Allen Bradley A-B 1756-RM2 is a ControlLogix redundant module. This module can only be used with the ControlLogix platb to enable controller redundancy. It manages the connections of two (2) identical controllers installed in the same rack with the same components and configuration. It provides redundant system monitoring and module health through bded LED displays such as PRI, COM and OK.
A-B 1756-RM2 has been released as a series and B series. The series is basically an enhancement to the previous series, however, 1756-rms with different series can coexist in a redundant configuration. It is strongly recommended to install the same series for maximum operability of redundant settings. It can be used with the same series of redundant modules, and the speed can reach 100Mbps.
The A-B 1756-RM2 comes with one (1) single mode LC fiber optic connector. It requires a 1756 rmcx redundant cable to synchronize the operation of redundant controller pairs. You can use the redundancy configuration tool to configure the controller to set redundancy, and use studio 5000 Logix designer to configure the overall beters of the module.The module is compatible with 1756-a4, 1756-a7, 1756-a10, 1756-a13, 1756-a17 ControlLogix racks, 1756-pa72, 1756-pa75, 1756-pb72, 1756-pb75r and 1756-pa75r standard power supplies, 1756-pb75r, 1756-psca2 redundant power supplies.
