為開發(fā)單原子晶體管,卡爾斯魯厄理工學(xué)院研究人員還開發(fā)了一套全新的工藝,單原子晶體管完全由金屬構(gòu)成,不含半導(dǎo)體材料。其結(jié)果是所需電壓極低,因此能耗也極低。研究人員之前制作單原子晶體管需要依靠液體電解質(zhì),現(xiàn)在希梅爾教授及其團(tuán)隊首次應(yīng)用固體電解質(zhì)的工作原理,通過水溶性銀電解質(zhì)凝膠與熱解法二氧化硅凝膠電解質(zhì)結(jié)合,從而改善了安全性,更便于單原子晶體管的處理。
